The Boxer is alert, snoopy, mischievous, faithful and composed. He’s self-assured, brave, strong and athletic. He’s a very sociable dog and enjoys people. He’s craves your affectionateness and physical contact. He prospers on chucks, hugs, scratches and stomach rubs. He loves to sit down on your lap! He enjoys being with you at all times; he will become your shadow. He’s the sort of dog who is always in your face. He’s a devilish clown. He adores children and is very patient role with them and loves to play .However because of his unruly nature he could unintentionally knock-over a small child. He’s lively and dynamic around the home, perpetually on the move. If he is not getting enough exercise or becomes bored he’ll find puckish ways to occupy himself, usually chewing anything in sight. He’s wary and unapproachable with strangers until he warms up to them. He’s a spontaneous watchdog, protective of his family and won’t back down if endangered.
